Today’s trek follows the principle of “climb high, sleep low.” You’ll ascend gradually toward Lava Tower, reaching an altitude of 4,630 meters before descending into the Barranco Valley. This day is vital for acclimatization. The spectacular Barranco Wall and towering glaciers above camp create one of Kilimanjaro’s most iconic settings.

Activities:
Continue your ascent to Barafu Camp, the base camp for your summit push. The landscape becomes more barren and windswept as you approach the camp. Once there, have an early dinner and rest before your midnight start. The peaks of Mawenzi and Kibo dominate the horizon.

Activities:
Wake up around midnight to begin your summit attempt under a blanket of stars. The climb to Stella Point (5,756 m) is steep and challenging but incredibly rewarding. From there, it’s a gentle slope along the crater rim to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa.
Celebrate your achievement with breathtaking views and photos before descending back to Barafu Camp for rest. Continue your descent to Mweka Camp, where you’ll spend your final night on the mountain.
